Who we are

Welcome to Goldenrod Kitchen, you belong here.

At Goldenrod Kitchen, we are committed to providing a personable, high-quality dining experience to our customers by serving restaurant-quality food in an environment that feels like home. Our dishes are prepared with the utmost love and care, because it’s what you deserve.

Our founder, Nola Todd, is a 21-year-old from Charleston and a self-proclaimed Appalachian princess. The idea for Goldenrod Kitchen was born from Nola’s experience as a lifelong vegetarian growing up in West Virginia. Originally operating as a popup stand, Goldenrod Kitchen started as a mission to make delicious breakfast food and treats accessible to everyone, regardless of dietary restrictions. Since then, Goldenrod Kitchen has grown into a brick-and-mortar space, located in Charleston’s Elk City district.

Every detail behind Goldenrod Kitchen is inspired by what we believe are traditional Appalachian values: hospitality, quality, and community. So, come eat with us, because breakfast is better with you.
